When I put in my e-file today would I have to wait for January 29th for my advance since that’s when IRS start accepting taxes?

My return was excepted on the 19th but still haven't received my return advance.

My tax return got accepted on the 12th of January and it’s says on the irs website it is being processed

Yes.  You get the Advance after the IRS accepts it.

I filed on free tax USA I’m just curious if they are processing them before the 29th , it says they are but are they really ? I don’t get any advance from free tax USA I don’t think

this is what mine is saying and I don’t understand it.  Why would it say it’s already been filed when I haven’t filed at all for 2023 yet

I filed my taxes today 1/24/24 and got my advance in two hours.

I am in the same boat. Accepted 1/19/2024 still nothing. When I call First Century Bank they say I am in the pre qualifications stage still. Till the IRS opens January 29, 2024.. Holding on for hope that it goes through that is the only reason I filed with TurboTax.

Wow, really? I filed on the 20th and haven’t heard anything since then. How does one even know if they were approved for the advance?

You would need to call First Century Bank tomorrow and ask [phone number removed] or I believe you can get you refund advance status through the TT chat box.

Just look up the number for First Century Bank N.A.

@Aprilcjpack   That means someone else already filed using a ssn that is on your return. Double check all the ssn on  your return.  Do you have a dependent that may  have filed their own return and claimed themselves?  Or can someone else claim you as a dependent?  

 

You can't efile your return.  You will have to print and mail it this year.

I got mine today if your return got accepted by the IRS the advance refund should hit your credit karma account within a hour of acceptance! I got mine about 35 min after i got a email from turbo tax saying the IRS accepted my tax return.

I recieved my advance a week ago, my return. Was accepted on the 19th and shows in WMR.
