You realize the page you're linking is from 29 April 2008, right? During the Bush Administration regarding the Economic Stimulus Act of 2008.
Consumer Reports hasn't published anything regarding the 2020 payments, so it would behoove you to not post something 12 years old that probably isn't accurate
Calm down. The irs is going live with this in a few days. We can all update then
You did actually read what that says right? You just proved my point. Not ALL of them
Are ineligible.. SOME. Also, that last line.. WHO does it say canceled account? And what did it say happened when dd failed? Hmm... Keep on spreading them "facts" buddy. You're doing a great job.
It actually is very easy for the IRS to tell what routing and account numbers from real banks like Bank of America and other banks that just do these prepaid debit card through the FDIC (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation). Green Dot may be a FDIC, but they know by the routing and account numbers given that it's a loadable prepaid debit card or has third party companies connected to use the card for such cash advances or to pay fees assessed by loading monies on the card ect. Also, the routing number specifies if there are actual branches for the bank or if it's sole purpose is to have monies loaded at a store or transfered from another vendor.
How do you even go to there site and enter your info
... the only way that you get the money on the turbo card like me is if you did not get an advance and used the free edition.
The people who got the fees taken out are the people who need this payment the most. Which I am sure accounts for A LOT of families and individuals who use Turbo Tax service, like me. If this is true and we have to wait for a paper check for 20 weeks after we had to PAY to even get the fees taken out of our refund, I can guarantee Turbo Tax will be less a few thousand customers. Not to mention lawsuits. I lost my job directly because of Corona. Now I am going cry in a corner and pray I don't lose my house because I wont receive this check in time to save us.
Stop saying that nobody gets the money on the turbo card...
@Snead is one of the most annoying people on this thread! I just woke up and this person thinks they know everything. Next time set up an emergency fund and you won’t be acting like this “hun”
But did u get the advance loan with them
No Charles is 20 and didn't qualify. No offense , but I got kids and I'm 30 and just bought a house in December and TT gives a him a refund and not the people who really need it. No offense @charles757710 I mean I'm sure you might have things to pay for but you know what I'm saying
@berger87 Turbo debit cards are issued through Inuit not Santa Barbara bank.
But did u get a advance loan
Did you have your fees taken out of your refund?
@charles757710 I did the same thing. They have no record of me. This means that we are not a part of their bank. It's just a really sad time and people need answers. Everyone saying be patient until it happens to them. I know I can't wait months for a check. I know I will not be using them anymore after this. All the miscommunication.
