Great question!
As both a CPA and an Enrolled Agent, I will say that either one is a great choice. Enrolled agents are specifically trained as federally authorized tax practitioners. CPAs also may be tax experts, but typically have a broader, more comprehensive accounting and auditing background. Personally, I am much more comfortable providing tax advice and preparation since attaining the EA designation.
