Exclusion Amount field on Hawaii State Tax Return for the nontaxable portion of the pension distribution

I received a 1099 R from my employer pension plan.  My understanding is that Hawaii does not tax employer funded pension.  Do I enter the entire pension distribution plan as the exclusion amount on my Hawaii return?

Yes. An employer funded  pension for past services is exempt. You can exclude the full amount.
