Am I receiving an RMD as a beneficiary for the Texas State employees retirement system?

My father was a state employee and designated me as his beneficiary in in the Employees Retirement System of Texas. Am I receiving an RMD. There is nothing indicated on the 1099-R.

In most cases, you receive the RMD from pensions- because they cannot be calculated the same way as IRAs which have a set account balance. As beneficiary, if you received a total disbursement you do not have to worry about the RMD. My condolences for your loss.
