@npierson7 You don’t have to pay taxes via W2 in order for it to count as earned income. Suppose you pay your gardener to manage your yard and you pay them cash. Are you saying it’s not considered earned income because I didn’t tax my gardener?
I have been told that cash is counted as earned income.
