W2 FICA and Medicare incorrect

I was on F1 from Jan to september, for those dates, my W2 did not withhold FICA and medicare. My visa status changed on 10/1. I got an H1-B status, now, my FICA and Medicare for oct to december should be withheld. But in my W2 it seems not the case(collected only for december). Do filing the return make sure that remaining tax would be collected based on information I provide?

Yes, you should file your return now with your W-2 as is. Today is the due date for US tax returns.

Contact your employer's payroll department if they are not correctly withholding FICA and Medicare taxes from your pay.
