I installed Turbotax Premier desktop 2022. I received Tax Summary from uber.
Gross Payment: $250 (Gross Trip Earnings $169 + Total Additional Earning $81)
Expense, Fees and Tax: $79
Net Earnings: $171 ($250 - $79)
I didn't see self-employment section in my Turbotax. How could I fill the data in? Which number should I use?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
You can just type Schedule C into the search bar at the top of your return and it should give you a JUMP TO link to go directly to it.
To add a business or Schedule C (I have the Home & Business Desktop program which is a little different than the lower versions). So for other versions, look around here (let me know if it's here and you find it.)
Go to Federal tab
Click on Wages and Income
Scroll down to Business Items
You use your own name, address and ssn or business name and EIN if you have one. You should say you use the Cash Accounting Method and all income is At Risk.
After it asks if you received any 1099NEC it will ask if you had any income not reported on a 1099. You should be keeping your own records. Just go through the interview and answer the questions. Then you will enter your expenses.
