2023 self employed health insurance

My wife was a consultant to a company in 2022 but retired at the end of 2022. She received final payment for services in 2023. Can we include the entire 2023 health insurance premiums to offset that final payment even though she was no longer self employed?

As she received self-employed income in 2023 and reports it on her 2023 tax return, she's entitled to deduct the self-employed health insurance deduction.
